Thanks to a very generous donation, we now have quite a few more BambuLabs P1S printers and a P1P! We’re working on figuring out exactly what condition these are in, and if they need any maintenance right away, so please hold off on using them until we announce that they’re ready. When they’re ready, they’ll be available for use by anyone who has taken the Intro to Filament Printing or BambuLabs P1S techniques classes. We may designate some of them for particular filament types. Stay tuned!
Our existing P1S, Poseidon, is still available for use as usual.
We now have 5 almost-new P1S printers, and 4 of them are currently working (I think the 5th needs a good cleaning). We also have 3 functional AMSes and a couple more that need a little love.
If a member would like a quick orientation for using BambuStudio or the AMS, they’re welcome to stop by during a 3D Printing Volunteer Day (Next one is the Ides of March! 3/15), or ask a 3DP Volunteer if you see one around.
Thank you @aneel and @klgilbert for quickly testing these and getting them set up! Very exciting to receive this generous donation and see them in action right away
With this sudden influx of printers, we have the bittersweet task of saying goodbye to two of our stalwarts. @mdixon4913 will be taking Poseidon home, and we are going to remove the PolyPrinter from the lineup. They’ve both been removed from Skedda.
Also of note: we’ve moved all of the multi-filament printers (the XL and the P1Ses that currently have an AMS attached) to a new Skedda group “3D Printers - Multifilament” to make booking less unwieldy.
