We’ve worked hard over the years to capture what’s happening at Asmbly and share it beyond our walls, but not a day goes by that I don’t meet someone who says they’ve never heard of us. Thanks to a staffing grant we received this year, we’re able to put more focused effort into this work. I’m excited to introduce Alex Gao @OctopusDream as a staff member at Asmbly as our new Media & Marketing Coordinator!
Alex brings a strong background in media production and community building. Many of you may already know him as the creator of our Maker Showcase event series, which highlights the incredible projects coming out of our community. His passion for storytelling and his ability to bring people together through creativity make him a great fit for this role.
As Media & Marketing Coordinator, Alex will be helping us:
- Capture and share the amazing work happening at Asmbly
- Feature our members and their projects through artist spotlights
- Build up our library of media so we can better tell Asmbly’s story
- Support outreach and marketing efforts to grow our community
This role is made possible by the staffing grant and we’re excited to dedicate resources toward showcasing the creativity of our members in new ways.
