Swift CNC: can’t set work origin?

Was setting up a job on the big CNC today as usual. Tried to set the origin by jogging to the origin on my workpiece and pressing XY→0, but that only seemed to increment the 1A value, whatever that is. The X and Y didn’t zero so I couldn’t set the origin. Pressing Origin moved the spindle to some arbitrary point.

I thought it was something to do with the absolute origin mode that has confused me before, but apparently not. Anyone know what’s up?

Going to leave this up even if it’s embarrassing haha. If you’ve been using the small CNC for a while, remember you’ll have to press On/Off and XY→0 to set the origin. Reading the cheat sheet doesn’t help when you read the wrong side.

Thanks for leaving the post up, and glad you got it figured out.

Ah yes, the wrong side of the sheet problem. I know it well  /light-hearted
