Saw dust and sparks are incredibly dangerous. Last night around 8pm, a member was using the oscillating spindle sander when it suddenly a mechanical issue started sending sparks. This is not caused by the activities on the sander. The member immediately shut down the tool, put a red tag on it, and reported it through the problem report form. By this time some of the wood dust had already started to smolder. The member cleared what seemed appropriate so there were no immediate hazards. At 1248 …
