You may have seen the fliers around the space, consider this the official launch of our new Steward on Duty program.
Work in the woodshop with a steward here to assist!
A steward on duty is a friendly volunteer here to help you get started or lend a hand with problem-solving.
Look for the yellow vest!
When?
Every Saturday, 3β5 PM, starting December 14th (skipping December 28th)
Whether it is a helping hand to safely cut plywood on the table saw, an assist in adjusting the bearings of the bandsaw, or a brain to pick on how best to make your project idea a reality our hope is that this program will help build the woodshop community and help make ASMBLY biggest space a welcoming place for all makers.
Come join us (or volunteer) at one of our upcoming sessions!
Thank you @keithwiggans for being our first steward on duty! Keith and @Kasper cleaned out a clogged filter on the sawstop during his on duty time.
If youβre feeling nervous using the woodshop equipment or would like to have an extra set of eyes on your project to problem solve, book time in the woodshop from 3-5PM on Saturdays! A volunteer steward will be there with a yellow vest on ready to assist.
Our Steward On Duty today is @Johnvaughn! If you book time in the woodshop today between 3β5 PM, John will be there to lend an extra set of hands. He can assist with materials, troubleshoot equipment, and offer advice on your projects. Just look for the yellow vest!
Remember, Steward On Duty happens EVERY Saturday from 3β5 PM. Take advantage of the extra support and make the most of your woodshop time!
