Excellence Reminders :awesome:

It’s time for some more highlights from our How to Be Excellent wiki page. This time, we’re highlighting a behavior from the NOT Excellent list —

Pursuing a one-sided relationship - For example, asking a member out who has already said “no.” Politely inviting another member to a social event can be appropriate, but if they have declined twice, do not ask again.

This one is especially important for helping everyone feel safe at Asmbly and free to focus on their creativity. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you need help or support in addressing an issue you are having with another member around this, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself, the board as a whole, staff members, or any other leader you are comfortable talking to. You can always find a current list of leaders on our wiki page here and our website here.

Remember — membership at Asmbly is a privilege, not a right. Be excellent to your fellow members and help us maintain a healthy, thriving, creative community!
