I’d noticed this as well about 2 weeks ago and forgot to report it. It’s rather odd given how strong the suction is elsewhere.

Hose "Not" Clogged

It was! But not anymore. If you’re having trouble with the drop hose (or suction at any tool connected to the dust collector), please feel free to unhook the flex hose, check the hose and the tool. Disconnect the flex hose from the pipe and check for suction. If it goes beyond that and you are familiar with how to detach and reattach pipe you’re more than welcome to troubleshoot there.
