2025 Maker Market Recap — Thank you once again :clapping:

It’s been 10 days, but it still feels like it was just last weekend that we had an incredible time together at our annual Maker Market! This year was full of creativity, community, and a steady flow of visitors exploring everything our makers and volunteers had to offer. Whether you came to shop, learn, listen to music, try an activity, or simply be inspired — thank you for being part of it.

Over the two days, as part of the second weekend of the Austin Studio Tour, we welcomed a strong turnout of community members, families, artists, and curious Austinites. The space stayed lively from open to close, with a lot more action outside than previous years thanks to the great weather and engaging activities. One major difference we noticed this year was that because of all our extra space from the expansion, it didn’t feel crowded.

We fed a ton of data into AI to do modeling on attendance estimations, including that it was a weekend with a lot of competing events around town. With all that, we have high condifence that this year’s Maker Market drew an estimated 800 attendees over the weekend (possibly even up to 950).

:orange_heart: Market Highlights

Here’s some raw numbers for the data lovers out there:

  • :sparkles: 23 vendors — all Asmbly members
  • :musical_notes: 4 different live musical acts including performances from our very own Facilities Manager, @Rolo — plus vinyl sets by KOOP Radio opening each morning
  • :admission_tickets: 17 raffle prizes featuring tools, classes, and local goods, with lots of excited winners
    • 2 winners won multiple prizes proving it pays to buy extra raffle tickets!
  • :test_tube: 7 Hands-on activities that brought people into the shops
    • 2 people even came back the second day for the soldering activity with @YellowEng after missing the sessions on the first day
  • :fork_and_knife_with_plate: Food & drinks all weekend, including the always-popular Crepe Crazy truck on Sunday
    • Unfortunately, they had truck issues Saturday and another booking so we only had them 1 day instead of 2
  • :waving_hand: Countless shop tours where visitors got to see all the tools, spaces, and creative energy that make Asmbly special :hearthands:
  • :money_with_wings: $1,109 in sales at the Asmbly booth
    • $650 raffle ticket
    • $240 merch (you can still buy merch in the front lobby!)
    • $219 donations

:folded_hands: Huge Thanks to Everyone Involved

Events like this only come together through the effort and talent of many people:

  • Vendors, for sharing your craft and your energy
  • Volunteers and staff, for putting in long hours preparing the space and supporting activities
    • @Jordanva2 was a major driving force for this and shared a deeper dedicated thanks here in case you missed it
  • Musicians and KOOP DJs, for setting such a fun and welcoming vibe
  • Community partners, for helping spread the word
  • Every single attendee, for showing up and supporting Austin’s creative community

We’re incredibly grateful to all of you.
