Woodshop Open Volunteer Day – Monday October 12, 2026
Today we ran a deep dive on dust. That is, we thoroughly swept and vacuumed some areas that tend to get overlooked during day-to-day cleanup: Under the dust collector and on the shelf above it, along the floor perimeters, under the benches and tables, between the tools, even the stairs to the loft! After that, we tackled the usual chores (see below). I also demoed how to change and clean the table saw blades.

Tasks Completed
- Thorough sweep, mop, and vacuum including DC area, stairs to loft, and other places where dust accumulates
- Waxed and polished all cast iron surfaces
- Vacuumed table saw cabinets and hoses
- Cleaned blades on table saws and miter saw
