WOF! (not for dogs)

Hey everyone! We’re looking for incredible makers to add their work to our Wall of Fame, or WOF! Here’s what we currently have:

It looks pretty decent, but there’s too much empty space! And I need you guys to fill it up with your inventiveness. The goal is to showcase our creations, monthly. Every month we’ll share our art with all the folks who walk through our doors. This includes staff, members, potential members, and anyone else who’s checking out the shop. It’s a terrific way to advertise without being at the shop 21/7 !

This is why you should put a name tag below your art piece with your name and/or contact information. It may be hard to see but we do have David’s and my name below our works. Come to think of it, we could make this a mini art gallery board. Which means, you could not only write down your name, but also the name of the piece, if it has one. This can help you generate business, ideas, or just meet cool people who like your art and want to discuss it. And it’s fun to take pride in the fact that WE BUILT SOMETHING! That’s so cool, and I can never get over it.

The process for screwing/nailing onto the particle board is as follows:

  1. Make sure there’s an empty space for your work.
  2. Find someone who is handy to help you put it up without damaging the particle board behind it. You can request help via discourse, or ask someone who’s at the shop. Let’s be cognizant of the wall behind the particle board so as to not drill a very deep hole on the wall behind the board. We want to be careful to not drill through an wiring that might exist behind that wall.
  3. Use wood screws and/or nails to attach the art piece to the board. If it’s a larger piece that needs to be upright you can install it in front of the board as long as it’s not blocking other pieces.
  4. Make sure to put your name somewhere near/on your art piece.
  5. Post your creation on discourse.

These art pieces will be up for the remainder of this month AND next month. After April we will queue up artwork so we can swap it out at the beginning of the month. If you have any questions feel free to call/text me at 770-374-8338.
