The white belt sander is down for now.
The issue being suction. There’s not nearly enough of it to pull the fine dust out of the machine right now and it is all ending up right in the air.
This is already severely clogged the HVAC filter and will be bad for general breathing.
There was no red tag on this tonight and someone was using it. I taped a red tag to it
It was resolved today, but likely the post was updated.
Ah bummer. I told someone it was red tagged and left that tag there. I left so I can’t remove the tag I placed. My bad.
Thank you Michael for doing that. I did not post here last night that MJ and his buddy helped us clear up some things.
There was an issue with the edge sander blast gate staying open, as well as the general vacuum drop behind the drill press was wide open.
Suction is better. There’s still room for improvement, but it is better when the gates are closed.
I’m thinking in the near future we have a mini-workday to open up the pipes and clean any nests out that may have formed.
