The welding ventilation become weak suddenly two weeks ago. A week ago, after a great deal of investigation and effort, this large wad of paper towels was discovered inside the ducts, obstructing the fan intake.
I am not particularly upset that this happened; I can easily imagine moving the ventilation arm such that it accidentally sucks up some paper towels. Accidents happen.
But I am unhappy that whoever this happened to did not report it. This was clearly going to cause a problem — I’d bet the suction dropped off immediately — but you left it to others to discover. Several people spent time diagnosing the problem, which wouldn’t have been necessary if we’d been told what happened.
The only way we can learn about problems is if you report them. Please err on the side of over-reporting; it takes seconds to read something and decide it’s not an issue but the report can save us hours if it is an issue.
