We’re thrilled to announce that April Ferrante (@AprilF ) is joining Asmbly as our Youth & Family Program Coordinator. This role is focused on expanding our youth and family programming, and we’re excited to have someone with April’s background and energy helping us build it.
April comes to us with a strong mix of teaching experience, event coordination, and a genuine love for making. She has worked with youth across a range of settings, brings solid organizational and administrative skills, and is deeply connected to the makerspace community as both a maker and a community member. She’s comfortable across a wide range of tools and disciplines, and she has a contagious enthusiasm for hands-on learning.
April will work closely with the Director of Education & Outreach, and the broader education and events teams, to coordinate Maker Camp, develop new youth offerings, and support the community partnerships that help us reach more Austin families. She’ll also be hands-on during programs: teaching, facilitating, and helping everything run smoothly.
Please join us in welcoming April to the Asmbly team!
