Welcome our new Board Members!

As Asmbly continues to grow, we’re continually supported by dedicated people working behind the scenes to make our work possible. Starting this month, we’re excited to welcome three new members to Asmbly’s Board of Directors. Each brings valuable experience, fresh perspective, and a shared commitment to supporting our mission and community.

@nreiter brings a wealth of nonprofit finance experience to her role as Asmbly’s new Treasurer.

We’ve all benefited from @Allzman’s help around the shop, so it’ll come as no surprise that he was happy to contribute his talent and represent the community as an at-large board member.

Last but not least, @Kasper stepped up to be our new Secretary, contributing his analytical and managerial skills to continuing improvement of our meetings and policies.

While Billy and Jordan have stepped down as officers of the organization, we’re very happy that they remain on the board as at-large members so we can continue to benefit from their experience and perspectives. Asmbly wouldn’t have made it to where we are without them!

We’re thankful for these new leaders and excited for the role they’ll play in supporting Asmbly and the community we serve.

Hi everyone :waving_hand:,

For those of you I haven’t had the chance to meet yet, my name is Art, and I’m honored to be stepping into an at-large role on Asmbly’s Board of Directors representing our community.

As many of you know, I’ve already spent time around the shop, and that’s honestly where my heart for Asmbly comes from—working alongside members, seeing creativity happen in real time, and experiencing firsthand what makes this place special. My goal on the board is simple: to serve you, the members, and to help remove obstacles so you can keep building, learning, and creating.

I believe deeply in Asmbly’s mission and potential. My hope is that, together, we can continue shaping Asmbly into not just a great makerspace, but a top-notch makerspace for all of Central Texas—welcoming, sustainable, and driven by the needs of its community. Whether that means listening more closely, advocating for member priorities, or helping strengthen the foundation behind the scenes, that’s where I plan to focus my efforts.

I’d genuinely love to get to know more of you. If you see me around the shop, please say hello, grab me for a conversation, or share what you love about Asmbly—and what you’d love to see it become.

Thank you for trusting me with this role. I’m excited to serve and build alongside you all.
