Waterproof Locking aux connector for Tormach (and a cleaned up cabinet)

The din port for the probe on the Tormach has been struggling a bit with chips and coolant, so after I got the go ahead, I swapped it for a waterproof locking cnlinko lp-12 4 pin connector. 12v (yellow) is hooked up to the connector but not the probe, which is being powered by 5v (red). Black is ground and blue is signal.

I had to find the key to the electronics cabinet first however, which seemed like as good of an excuse as any to clean out the cabinet under the machine. There was a lot of sticky coolant at the bottom of it, and some various tools, some with rust from the semi moist environment.

There was also a lot of aluminum stock in various places. The aluminum stock and some partially used soft jaws are stacked in the back left corner now, with old wiring and calibration tools on the right side shelves in the cabinet, and leveling feet/other tools on the left side shelves. There was a single grey resin printed rose in there too :person_shrugging: but it’s quite pretty.

Almost nothing was removed from the cabinet aside from some coolant ooze soaked empty plastic containers and few pieces of equally gross unrelated paper.

I found the key and replaced the port… but didn’t notice until now that the hole pattern wasn’t a square, it was a rectangle. I’ll cut another cover next time I’m using the machine, but otherwise it’s working great. I also rewired the probe cable using the quite well stocked electronics area, that made it all much easier to find the proper tools for the job.

(pay no attention to the handheld drill with an end mill last minute changes :joy:)
