Virginia's State Bird

Today I dusted off my stained-glass accessories from years ago.
Spend a bunch of hours reminding myself how to work with glass.
The result is shown below. Was it worth if? Yes! My wife likes Cardinals.

It’s actually possible to laser cut glass. We don’t officially say that, but it’s possible.

It involves making multiple light passes to create a score line. We want to avoid building up enough heat at any point to crack it, because early on a crack will just go anywhere.

Then do a slow, high power pass to start a thermal crack that should follow the score line, even down concave surfaces that are so hard to cut by hand.
