VCarve Version 12 Setup on north computer needs admin

I was using north computer (in lobby area), and wanted to use VCarve Version 12, and I got the message that it needed to “finish set up”. I logged in, then got the message that I didn’t have sufficient privileges to finish the setup - needed admin privileges. Could someone with admin privileges on this computer complete the setup? Thanks.

I’ll look at it tonight. We did the admin login, it shouldn’t need it again.

Thanks. I tried to use it today (3/4/25) around 10:30am and got the same message that I needed admin privileges to finish the setup. Am I trying to log in incorrectly? I was able to finally use the south computer to get what I needed to do (I have Version 12 Trial of VCarve at home - program won’t let you use another version, so I have to use Version 12 at Asmbly). Thanks for looking at it.

Hi David,

Asmbly has reached it’s license limit for the Makerspace Edition of VCarve so we cannot add the full version to north lobby PC “Public 2”. I have uninstalled the full makerspace edition and installed the trial edition on the Public 2 PC. You will be able to edit and view files as with the full makerspace version. However, you will need to generate your toolpaths on one of the 3 PCs with the full Makerspace Edition.

Currently we have the full Makerspace edition of VCarve installed on the following PCs:
-Lobby PC “Public 1”
-Laguna IQ PC
-Laguna Swift PC
