Vcarve error

Getting a weird error when trying kids crv from home into small cnc vcarve at shop

Says it won’t “load a file from actual version of the software from a different computer”

But I can load a different crv of mine made from my same home computer…

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Most likely you weren’t logged in on your home computer when you saved the file.

When you start your home copy of VCarve look in the top right of your VCarve window and there is a “Sign In…” link or your name - click it and sign-in to the Vectrix website (vectrix.com).

I am assuming you’ve created a VCarve account on Vectrix website and have it associated with the Asmbly Makerspace. And you’ve logged in and downloaded the Trial version from Vectrix at V&Co - Vectric Customer Portal under the section “Membership Software Asmbly Makerspace - Austin TX” at the bottom.

You’re welcome to see the beginning few minutes of Getting Started with Vectric CNC Software | Makerspace Edition from minute 1:30 to 3:00 for a video description of the installation and registering process which I found helpful.

If everything is set up and ready to go: select menu: Help > About VCarve Pro Trail Edition… and you should see “Organization Memberships: Asmbly Makerspace - Austin TX”. Here is what my Help About pop-up looks like.

Yep. Y’all nailed it. My home version was logged out. Once I logged in at home and saved, that version worked fine at Asmbly.

Appreciate the guidance.

Cheers
