Unsafe batch of 1/4" Sandie ply

Just tested this stuff, it’s 1/4" Sandie ply from Home Depot.

I have never seen plywood like this. It will cut, but hold onto a cherry and continue to burn behind the beam.

I couldn’t finish a test on it, it was on fire and needed active intervention to extinguish it. Focus was fine. Moved from Dorian to Tarkin. Also caught fire while cutting. So not anything to do with the laser.

What I just saw is flat out dangerous. I know Sandie ply has been used in the past, not the best stock but it never did this.

I can’t say if it’s all Sandie or bad batch or even just one bad sheet, but this stuff should not be put in the lasers.
