At the Metal Shop Volunteer Day this Saturday (1:00-3:00…) we’re going to be doing some maintenance on the Tormach. @zachrdunn has agreed to give us some pointers based on his experience with his own Tormach. Come and learn a bit more about how this beast works!
Heads up that this may not happen tomorrow. Zach is feeling under the weather.
We did do a few things. We leveled the Tormach and got somewhat better coolant flow to the drain, but it seems like we might want to deliberately un-level the sheet metal enclosure and then shim the machining castings back to level.
We also trimmed off a bit of armored cable where the armor was broken and wires were exposed, but we didn’t have the proper crimper/grommet to fully repair it.
