I know that the holes in the Saunders fixture plate are 1/2-13 threaded, but how long a bolt can they accommodate? Since the plate is .85" and I’m attaching something .25" thick, I assume I can use a 1" socket head screw, but would a longer bolt work, or would it run into the table under the fixture plate?
It’s .95 thick and the first .25 is bored to .5005 so no threads. If you have a .25” part you’ll need at least a .75” bolt and I would not go more than 1” total. Some holes have more clearance because the they sit on top of a t-slot in the table (the big bolts in the plate are the visual guide if where those are) but I wouldn’t count on the clearance.
