Table saw sled safety stop

The table saw tracks in the table have been shortened. A safety block on the sled will be installed soon to prevent the blade from being exposed when in use.

Can you post a picture of what has been done?

Yeap! Black & white would be quite pleasant. Dont forget to include a ruler or a quarter to show scale!

I don’t see how you can make complete cuts without exposing the blade, unless you’re making the back fence of the sled 5” thick.

Plus, what do you mean by “the” sled. There are many sleds, for different purposes, and they are different lengths.

Tried to upload earlier but couldn’t. I made the post, but Bill @BillM did the modifications. I believe he said the are in with double sided tape.

The sled will indeed have a thick block on the user side, but the stops are positioned to allow the blade to pass the highest point just after it clears the fence, but not allow the blade to be exposed to the user behind the fence.

As for the other sleds, I don’t know the plan.
