Table legs

Hi all , I know there are some talented furniture makers here, and I’ve got a question. For legs shaped like the ones in the pics, are you using router templates to get the angles and right before glue-up, or are you cutting them with a tapered jig and then the miter saw?

Any issues you’ve run into with either method? Thanks!

My vote is for the tapered leg jig then a miter gage on the table saw. Or you can make a wedge to use on the cross cut sled.

I have not tried the miter saw for this application but that would probably work too. I think it’s harder to make minor adjustments on the miter saw vs table saw.

There is nothing wrong with router templates. They would absolutely work for this application. I think they are a lot of work. I only use the router for designs that have curves and angles at the same time.
