The contents of this cart in the once-and-future-fiber-laser area are up for grabs, along with the big gray object behind it.
The latter is an air filter that sits in place of a rectangular ceiling tile. It blows filtered air down into the room; it was apparently used by the old bio-lab people to keep the room air clean with a positive pressure. It seems to work but needs a new filter, and the old filter was glued into place for some reason, which means making it usable is a project. And we don’t need any more projects here now. But if you want one, you are welcome to it.
Some things were put on the cart by other people; if you didn’t mean them to be up for grabs, you’d better reclaim them quickly! Anything not claimed from the cart will be discarded sometime next week.
Nothing else in that area is up for grabs. And nothing else should be put there. There are plans for the once-and-future-fiber-laser area in both the short and long terms, and it needs to be kept clear.
