I’d like to cut through 1/4" plywood on Tarkin and I searched our Wiki for a table of materials (and thicknesses) under Tarkin showing recommended speeds & percents, but couldn’t find it. Can someone point me to where on the wiki such a table is like this. For example, in the drawers in the Laser room is a guide for Dorian with such a table which has been very helpful to get started.
I believe that on Tarkin it is best practice to start with the library. Danny has put an impressive amount of materials into that library
I’m sorry to be so thick, but what library are you referring to - do you mean the wiki? If so I cannot seem to find a speeds suggestion in it for cutting 1/4” plywood. Can you point me to a link?
Stephannie was referring to the materials library in Lightburn. If you are going to the Laser SIG or CNC SIG on Sunday I can point it out to you. Otherwise I would just set the power to 100% and start doing test cuts maybe start at 50 the adjust speed up or down till you find the right setting.
Michael
Thank you for clarifying Michael, we can talk on Sunday, so starting at 50 mm/sec & 100 % power will get me started.
It’s a place to start testing. If it goes all the way through you can speed it up or just go with it. If it does not then slow it down and try again.
This feels like something we can either add to the wiki or refer to in the wiki so people know where to find it. If anyone has the time to add it, please do!
