I have a theory. Everything is either a Spindle or a Bowl.
Baseball bat? Long spindle. Vase? Fat spindle.
Platter? A flat bowl.
There’s a lot to the spindle theory and I’m teaching some of it this Friday 3/20. There’s still plenty of room to sign up. It’s great if you’re hoping to take your chisel work to the next level as well as hone in on proper sharpening techniques for the Spindle Roughing Gouge, Spindle Detail Gouge, and Parting tool.
Below are examples of things I’ve made that are all largely based on the techniques covered in the class.
