I have a few spalted maple slabs that I’ve decided I’m not going to do any projects with that I figured someone here might be interested in. I’m hoping to get $900 for all three slabs.
They have all been flattened on a CNC.
The spalting on these is pretty punky, so I started to use some thinned penetrating epoxy on the curvy one to stabilize the spalting, which worked really well. I just haven’t gotten around to doing the same on the two longer pieces.
I also started to fill in the cracks with black epoxy and was planning to sand back and put in walnut bowties. Again, just haven’t gotten around to finishing.
