I always wait several seconds between switching each one on and did so tonight, as well, so the issue isn’t that I turned them on too quickly. After I noticed the second vacuum wasn’t running, I checked the breakers and looked for other obvious causes, but nothing jumped out at me. I cycled the power and that didn’t help. I started just the second vacuum and even with the first vacuum off, the second one would not start.
There is a thermal overload contactor in the front cnc control cabinet for the vacuum,
that would be what trips.
but if it trips that means the filters need to be cleaned out on the vaccuum pump itself. the little spring latches. pop them off and then beat and blow out the filter.
