I like this approach, and what they created in the end is beautiful – heat gun! I hadn’t heard of this. Sounds like something to use outdoors b/c fumes.
Just wanted to share in case anybody else is getting interested in refurb/reclaimed wood.
I am working on a similar project, but the original is varnished, not painted.
I’ve been getting inspired by some of the bright, painted Mexican wood furniture I’ve seen at estate sales over the last couple of years. And I live next to a dumpster! Mixed blessing.
