Router lift update - Rebuilt and works GREAT!

We finally received the replacement components for the Jessem Mast R Lift, installed on the router table. It was rebuilt on Workday, last Saturday.

The underlying problem was that the bearings on the lift screw were siezed. , probably damaged when someone did not UNLOCK the lift before turning the crank.

Cranking the lift without UNLOCKing gouges out out the lift lock mechanism, which is an aluminum collar surrounding the threaded steel lifting post. The lock was really chewed up.

The crank now spins with one finger - if UNLOCKed.
The brake engages firmly.

Moral of the story: UNLOCK the router lift before you turn the crank handle.
