[Resolved] Tarkin - Not cutting, probably operator error

I booked Tarkin today but I could not get it to make any cuts. I did not red tag, because I am assuming it is operator error. When I hit cut, the red light would go on and then it would immediately beep as if it were done. Things I checked:

  • Chiller was on
  • Three switches on the Machine were on
  • Output in Lightburn Turned on
  • Geometry Selected, and Cut Select Geometry Selected in Lightburn

I vaguely recall something in class that dealt with this situation.

I’ve only seen that when I forgot the chiller, but doesn’t sound to be the case.

Did you preview it in lighburn first?

What did the panel say?

I don’t recall seeing anything particular on the panel. The frame command seemed to work correctly.

Has anyone used Tarkin since and confirmed it’s working? @dannym

@dannym Please share the issue you corrected with Tarkin. The original complaint was unsure of the cause, user error or machine error. Please help to clarify this.

Unable to reproduce the problem. Would need more info about what the user had on the panel while using it
