Resolved - Oscillating Spindle Sander

Oscillating spindle sander is not spinning. Stewards will look at it as soon as possible.

Check the oil level. I believe there is a sight glass at the back of the machine. Yes, it has oil! Curious question, did someone tip it? Both the oil and the drive belt are very unlikely to be the culprit as the machine is a heavy duty floor model and has not been used that much. If the machine was tipped or dropped on its side, is possible you’re going to have a big oil mess in the bottom of the cabinet. Also if that is the case, oil probably got on the drive belt.

Waiting on a 3D printed part before we can reassemble the unit.

Bumping this thread…

Do we have an update on the timeline of when this tool will be functional again?

Spindle is operational again. Please only hand tighten the spindles.

Wrench is on side. We have reduced it’s size to make it more difficult for people to over tighten.

Thank you @Snestle and everyone who got this fixed!

That would be @BillM & @JoeN - Our highly knowledgable and helpful stewards!

Thank you @ewei for printing the new dust shield. @BillM did most of the work. I’m a big fan of the wrench modification.
