Seems that someone overtightened the blade guides so much that it was literally shooting sparks. I don’t know how to tell if anything was damaged, so someone may want to have a look in the morning.
According to the sign on the saw, only the fence and height are to be adjusted?
The upper thrust bearing is pretty far out of alignment, this probably happened when the blade guide worm gear housing was replaced. I’ll try to adjust it today. Currently no sparks however.
Correct that only the fence and blade guide height should ever be adjusted.
