I’m not sure where to look for details on the current renovations happening at the space.
Can someone give me an idea if there is a plan to have some barrier in place between the woodshop and the laser area - to limit dust?
Shop dust was a supreme annoyance when using Red and Blue in the former locations.
When using Tarkin last week, the wood-shop dust was already building up on surfaces in the new laser room.
The plan, as I understand it, it to put doors into the shop, so that the sawdust is kept away from all areas on that side of the space. In the gap that is the only remaining large opening to the shop, directly beyond the aquaponics. On the miter saw wall.
The last two workdays have been moving towards that goal. A new dust collector will arrive in February, and the doors that Stephanie mentioned will be put in so that the wood shop is isolated from the rest of the building. Come on out for the next workday and help us keep making progress.
