A reminder that using power tools on pressure treated lumber is not allowed at Asmbly. I found this pressure treated board in the scrap bin, so someone was violating that policy.

I stopped someone, today, who was bringing in a bunch of PT wood to cut. I told him of the policy, and he said that it wasn’t mentioned in his Woodshop Safety class. I showed him the applicable Wiki page, and he left.

Yes, thank you for intervening! I like breathing and cutting pressure treated wood tends to oppose that. Maybe not one cut, but many cuts over time, especially in a shared workshop could do some harm.
