No bisqueware for glazing that hasn’t been fired in house! The caveat is DOCUMENTATION that it is Cone 5 Medium Fire. And even then we will be skeptical. Stuff imported from China that is light gray WILL NOT BE FIRED. A low fire glaze test for said items might be considered. If it’s a clay body we haven’t fired before and it’s not on the approved list it should NOT be placed with the general population on the shelf. Once again, we are eager to do the weird stuff, but we do not want to jeopardize anyone’s works. The melts and explosions from this week are from multiple members. There is not a singular culprit.
