This new one has been doing great for dust collection. However, one of the plastic latches that hold the 2 pieces together broke. We haven’t seen the missing piece. Probably just need to get a new one?
I do think we need to keep this a plastic shoe. My concern on a steel one would be that if it gets loose, the carbide can spark on it and bring a fire into the dust collector system. Aluminum would generally not have that problem though, it doesn’t spark.
