Printing Strategy Advice

Hi folks,

I’m seeking advice on printing this model off of thingiverse. I would be resizing this so that the token would be about 4-6" in diameter, and I’d like to print to get as resolution on the teeth, horns, and chain as possible.

Some alternatives I’m considering:

  • Print on Prusa XL with the base flat on bed and full supports printed in water soluble PLA.
  • Print on resin printer with the base at an angle relative to the bed and full supports.

Really appreciate y’all’s input!

(Disclaimer: I’m not a Motörhead fan myself but trying to make this for a friend who is :joy:)

I would print on the resin printer. You can control the amount of supports. They also can be cleanly snapped off. You might need to do a small amount of sanding post removing supports.
