Pre-requisite for round materials class?

I’m interested in taking the class on using the rotary axis to etch round materials, but I haven’t taken the small lasers class (only big lasers) and have no experience on those machines. Do I need to take Small Lasers first or will the round materials class cover the basics?

@stepho somewhat related to this question (but definitely related to the class), what is the smallest diameter that can be etched with this laser?
