Pocket hole jig recommendation

Hi all,

I got to spend a lot of time with Valerie’s Kreg pocket hole jig yesterday and would like to pick up one for myself.

I’m considering the Massca M2 PRO Aluminum Pocket based on a Reddit thread I read through.

Just wanted to see if anyone had any strong feelings about pocket hole jigs, recommendations, or one they are trying to offload!

If you plan on using pocket holes semi regularly, Ibhighly recommend the Kreg 720. The handle is way nicer to your hand, and the vacuum attachment saves lots of time and clean up. Seems to be about the same price. https://www.amazon.com/KREG-KPHJ720PRO-Kreg720-Pocket-Jig-PRO/dp/B08BQC8TGZ?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A2PQBA7L2BFM79

That 720 one does look super schnazzy!

I don’t know the quality of the Armor tools, but I believe they had the auto thickness adjust before Kreg. Now Kreg offers it on their kits. I have an older Kreg bench top, and it’s been great. Anyway, Armor is another option, if you’re trying to avoid Kreg.

As an even cheaper option, I have an old Kreg K4 with a 3D printed dust port. It’s not as fancy as the new models but it works perfectly fine. Use dust collection if you can to keep the mess down. You’ll also get cleaner cuts.

I have the Armor tools one, and it’s pretty good

I don’t know if this fits here in this topic, but as a super cheap option I 3D print jigs to drill pocket holes. They are good if you only have to drill a few holes. However, printing the jigs does take time.
