Hello everyone,

Just curious about your recommendations for plywood sources.

Thanks for the input in advance!

I think Dakota historically has better prices, but is further away than Fine Lumber

Fine Lumber lets you walk through the warehouse on your own and look at the lumber and plywood stacks but Dakota usually does not. However at Dakota the forklift operators bring the entire pallet of what you’re looking for to you and some even help sort through the pile. I know both places do have a variety of plywood which are quite likely better quality than the usual home improvement places carry. I didn’t check prices on plywood but 3 weeks ago fine lumber had some nice 5’x5’ finished baltic birch. (That stuff mills really nice but I can’t justify the most likely high price to myself at the moment.) I don’t think one could go wrong at either Fine Lumber or Dakota. Still been meaning to go to Brazos though.

If you’re open to purchasing online, I got a bunch of lightweight birch from https://www.woodworkerssource.com recently and am happy with both the stock and the retailer!
