Plastic Rims for Cardboard Spools - Use the Respooler!

I’ve been alerted that we’ve broken most of the plastic rims that go on the edges of cardboard spools to make them AMS-friendly. We’ll print some more, but anyone is welcome to do so themselves using PLA from the Up For Grabs bin.

There are spool rim STLs in the “calibration” folders on some of the printers, but if you can’t find one already there, there are lots of models around. I haven’t tried this particular model, but it looks good: https://makerworld.com/en/models/472313-all-cardboard-filament-spool-rim-for-bambu-lab-ams?from=search#profileId-382091 You probably want the 198 size.

However, a better solution for a spool you’re going to use in an AMS a lot is to respool it onto a plastic spool. We have a lot of plastic spools in the corner. Please feel free to use them and take them home. Filament Respooler - Asmbly Wiki
