Hi! Doesn’t seem like the blast gate is opening for the planer when it turns on. Anyone have debugging ideas I can try?
We’re still trying to figure out why they over extend close, but, if you get the 8 foot aluminum ladder, you can reach the switch on the gate. Cycle the switch to “Open”, and the gate should open. On occasion, it needs a little help. You’ll see the aluminum sliding insert extending out one side. Push on that. Once it opens, it should function properly, for a while. You can then set the switch to “Auto”. Leaving the gates open drops the pressure too much.
It’s not always the gate opening too much. Sometimes it just doesn’t respond when it should, and turning the planer off and back on will make it work.
