Hi there! I’ve been a careless consumer and gone through two winches, one rated for 2500 pounds and one for 2000 pounds. It seems like they could probably be repaired but I don’t have the time to do it myself.
It’d be a shame if no one got any more use out of them. I figure that even if they’re beyond fixing, the components, including the steel cables, could be useful to someone. I’m not an official member yet but if anyone would like me to drop them off either at the Space or somewhere else, please message me! Thank you in advance.
Hey there! I’m terrible for ghosting the forum after posting this. @JoeN would you be interested in meeting me at the space? I’ve got them both in the car now. Hopefully their components can be salvaged still. Also feel free to DM and I can pass along more direct contact information.
My thinking is that since I don’t have current membership and since metal shop storage is still limited pending expansion, it’s probably not a great idea for me to just drop them off.
