Paint on Sidewalks

Hey folks! We have a rule that allows folks to spray paint outside as long as it doesn’t get on the sidewalks or the buildings.

This is a reminder for folks to always use plastic or some backing beneath your material to protect from over spray.

Unfortunately I noticed a decent amount of over spray and markings today, I don’t know how recent these are and it really only caught my eye because of the big red marks.

We will be fined if the property owners see these. If you know some of these are yours, please pass by to clean it up. We’ll also be shop closed this Friday for Workday, so if you know how to effectively remove paint markings, please give us a hand!

If we have video to identify the painters, then cleaning it up should not be optional. This isn’t a case of, “Oh I didn’t realize…” If we don’t have video, and no one steps up, once again others will take up their slack.

That red may be new, but some of the overspray toward the overhead door has been there a long time. James suggested a decent (read: rental) pressure washer would probably do the job. Not sure if hot water would help on this or not.

We are planning to pressure wash the concrete before the grand opening.
