Asmbly is opening a part-time Lead Kiln Operator position to provide operational leadership for our ceramics kiln program.
Our ceramics studio has become known for high-quality firings, consistent schedules, and quick turnaround times, and this role is central to maintaining those standards. The Lead Kiln Operator guides our established Kiln Operations Team, oversees kiln schedules and workflows, and works closely with the Facilities and Education teams to ensure a smooth experience for members, students, and instructors.
This is a lead role for an experienced kiln operator who enjoys both hands-on work and coordinating people, systems, and timelines.
18–22 hours/week
Onsite first, with limited remote hours
Prior experience firing electric kilns required
Team leadership experience preferred
