Come and join us at this month’s edition of the Oh Sew Social! The Textiles area is undergoing a revamp and we’d love to hear your ideas on how we can make things better.
To nobody’s surprise, I plan to bring a leather project to the Social, and would love to see what everyone else is up to. I might bring cookies again, but you’ll have to stop by to find out.

Other than cookies and conversation, we actually worked on our projects. For example, I made a replacement handle wrap for my workhorse of a suitcase:

For once in my life, I kept it simple and went with rivets and snaps rather than shoot for elaborate structure and stitching. As I was saying at the Social: even when we do this kind of thing for the fun of it, sometimes you just need an easy win.
