New Table Router Manual

I found the current manual in wiki.asmbly a little lacking as it apparently discusses a router (only and not the lift) that no longer is in the router table, so I made my own (see attached).

If you deem it acceptable to replace/append to the current manual, I would like to add a speed table to it (similar to the one on the plate that covers the router dust output) before you do so. Does anyone have the manual to the current router that might contain this information?

Thanks for your consideration.

I think this information would be great to include directly in the wiki page!

We usually use linked PDFs for official documents provided by the companies that make the tools, but put all Asmbly-specific information into the page with no download needed.

It would be awesome if you could copy the contents of Equipment Template - Asmbly Wiki into the Router Table - Asmbly Wiki page and fill it in with your material from the PDF you produced. An example of a filled in page like this is: Tormach PCNC 1100 - Asmbly Wiki

I like it. Love the photos. You kept it using what I call the KISS (keep it stupid simple) method. Great refresher for someone that has not used a router in a while or at all. Just missing how far to insert the router bit into the collet. Here is a web site that is practically what you did but with all the safety mumble jumbo included. Practically same lift (older version) but a Porter Cable router.

The router in Asmbly’s table is a Dewalt, not sure what model as it has been replaced often. Don’t sweat the speeds settings too much as most bits used operate at the highest speed. Glad that you learned and sharing information from a “new perspective.” over all Thank you for taking the time to improve the place!

It looks like I need a password to login into https://wiki.asmbly.org/ in order to fill out the template. Who would I need to contact to get a log in?

If you are logged in to yo.asmbly.org (as you clearly are), this “Log in” link should log you in to the wiki automatically.

If you get directed to a login page, entering your Yo username/password should work.

If that’s not working, there’s a data problem in how we have the sites connected. If you email your username information to it@asmbly.org, they should be able to sort it out.
