Thanks to @jiggliemon for building the awesome crosscut sled. He had recommended the KM stop block. That stop block arrived and is now installed. I’m attaching photos, demonstrating the options.
Center the red block with the small knob. Slide the block to where you want it, but a leave a little room.
Tighten the two main knobs.
Then you can move the front red plate with much better fine control.
When not needed, it stores on the other side. Just loosen the top knobs, the plate will pull out and push back on from the back.
