:ceramics: New Glazes Approved for Use :ceramics:

Howdy everyone!!

:ceramics: I’m excited to announce that the Ceramics Studio at Asmbly has approved a whole bunch of new glazes!!

:ceramics: We have a limited run of colors for all lines, except Potter’s Choice, in studio for Members to use.
:ceramics: You can also purchase any of the colors for your personal collection at Armadillo Clay.

Approved Glazes

:ceramics: We have a Mayco Dipping Clear, zinc free, in the studio now you can dip your under-glazed bisque fired pieces in to, or your bisque ware to maintain the clay color but still seal it. Whisk and goggles are provided for your safety and usage.

:ceramics: If you are interested in learning about glaze techniques sign up for one of our regularly scheduled Glaze Workshops for only $20 to learn about dipping, painting, stenciling, and splattering on to your masterpieces.

Today during the safety course they mentioned the approval process for clay was in the slack. I was just curious if slack was open to members too or how I could access the process to submit my clay for approval.

Thank you

Hmm, they may have misspoken.

The general policies for ceramics are found here: Ceramics Policy - Asmbly Wiki

Anything outside the approved clay bodies will need to go through the kiln stewards. @SethWhite

Please bring it by the studio. Or send me specifics if it is a purchased clay. I need to know if it is low, medium or high fire.
